𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙤?

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | In a vital step toward shaping the technological and scientific future of the region, Adiong Memorial State College (AMSC) actively participated in a Key Informant Interview (KII) and focus group discussion conducted on campus today. This critical engagement is part of an ongoing, eight-month research study titled "𝘌𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦: 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴, 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘈𝘙𝘔𝘔," spearheaded by the Institute of Bangsamoro Studies (IBS) in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST-BARMM). By mapping the region’s scientific and technological ecosystem, this initiative is actively gathering the baseline data needed to build the visionary BARMM STI Foresight 2050 pathway.

Bringing this regional mission down to the grassroots level, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙃𝙖𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙝𝙖 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙡𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙤, the Area Coordinator and interviewer for the study, facilitated a deep-dive dialogue with AMSC’s administrative and student leaders. The consultation opened with an engaging interview featuring 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙝 𝘼. 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣, AMSC's Research Director, who served as the primary key informant. Dr. Pandapatan painted a clear picture of the college's academic landscape, detailing the growth of its STEM programs, research capacities, and technology transfer initiatives designed to uplift the wider Lanao del Sur community.

But a blueprint for the future is only as strong as the people who will live it, which is why the discussion truly came alive when twelve dynamic student representatives took the floor. Representing three of the college's cornerstone programs—with three students from BS Agriculture, four from BS Fisheries, and five from BS Information Technology—these young minds brought real, lived experiences to the table. They shared their personal academic journeys, discussed the hands-on challenges they face, and voiced their ambitions to use their skills to drive regional progress. By bridging the strategic vision of institutional leadership with the raw energy and potential of its student body, AMSC is proving that the path to a highly innovative Bangsamoro starts by empowering the change-makers already working in our fields, waters, and laboratories.
