AMSC and LGU Ditsa-an Ramain forge 5-Year Strategic Partnership to Boost Digital Transformation and Education

Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del Sur — In a major initiative to elevate local education and strengthen municipal governance, Adiong Memorial State College (AMSC) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Ditsaan-Ramain officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 21, 2026, during a signing ceremony held in the Municipality of Ditsaan-Ramain.

The historic event brought together key academic and municipal leaders, led by AMSC President Dr. Sherifa Rohannie K. Adiong and Ditsaan-Ramain Municipal Mayor Hon. Ansaruddin A.M. "Hooky" Alonto Adiong. Together, they formalized a strategic alliance designed to advance academic excellence, technological infrastructure, and long-term community development across the municipality.

The newly established five-year framework paves the way for extensive collaboration spanning multiple critical sectors, to wit:

First is academic and instructional growth. The partnership emphasizes hands-on experiential learning by opening doors for faculty, staff, and student exchanges, hands-on internships, practicum placements, and ongoing curriculum development and enhancement.

Second is research, development, and innovation. To foster evidence-based community development, the two entities will engage in joint research projects, share technical expertise, and disseminate collaborative research outputs.

Third is information technology and digital transformation. Key initiatives include launching e-learning platforms, establishing digital library resources, implementing advanced academic technologies, and promoting cybersecurity best practices to optimize teaching, learning, and administrative operations.

And lastly is institutional governance and capacity building, the agreement also focuses on strengthening institutional administration through benchmarking activities and the exchange of best practices in public and academic management.

To ensure smooth execution, both entities have committed to designating dedicated focal offices to coordinate and monitor projects. AMSC will extend academic, technical, and ICT support, while LGU Ditsa-an Ramain will provide essential local resources and facility access to bring joint programs to life.

Effective immediately upon signing, this agreement will remain active for five years through July 2031, setting a high benchmark for municipal-academic partnerships in Lanao del Sur.
