Adiong Memorial State College releases 2nd Semester Tulong Dunong Program Funds
Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del Sur — Adiong Memorial State College (AMSC) held the official distribution ceremony for the Tulong Dunong Program for State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUC) on July 22, 2026, at the SLH Building on the AMSC Campus.
The event marked the formal disbursement of critical financial assistance to eligible student beneficiaries covering the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2024–2025. Strengthening Access to Higher EducationThe Tulong Dunong Program—spearheaded through the initiative of Senator Loren Legarda in close partnership with the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST)—is designed to alleviate the financial burdens on tertiary students, helping them sustain their ongoing academic needs and stay enrolled in higher education.
Through this national educational grant, the AMSC administration reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting accessible, equitable, and quality education for students across Lanao del Sur.
The official program opened with welcoming remarks and systematic moderation by ITO 1 Junaid B. Ahmad, the UniFAST Focal Person, who served as the emcee and led the proceedings at the SLH Building.
The formal gathering was officially set in motion by Dr. Sherifa Rohannie K. Adiong, SUC President I, who delivered an inspiring opening message highlighting the institution's commitment to supporting student welfare and academic success.
Following the opening address, a series of State College leaders took the stage to offer guidance, administrative direction, and encouragement to the student recipients. Prof. Luis Siddick F. Adiong, Director of the Division of Student Affairs (DSA), emphasized the importance of student development and perseverance in higher education. Supervising Administrative Officer Ma'am Salam M. Pandapatan then provided essential administrative insights regarding the program's execution. Representing Dr. Rashida A. Abedin, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Sittienor Calbe Abubakar, Dean of the College of Education, delivered remarks reinforcing the financial and administrative backing that makes these national grants accessible to the student body.
Representing the student grantees, Ma'am Almairah H. Zainal, DSA Staff Representative, delivered a response expressing deep appreciation for the financial assistance and the opportunities it creates for the beneficiaries. Throughout the event, the actual verification and disbursement of funds were meticulously overseen and executed by the Accounting Unit spearheaded by State College Accountant Ma'am Saihana H. Ali, CPA, ensuring a transparent and orderly distribution process for all students present.
Dozens of student beneficiaries attended the program, filling the SLH Building venue as AMSC personnel systematically managed the verification, orientation, and financial releasing procedures. The seamless turnout underscored the vital role financial assistance plays in empowering students to achieve their educational aspirations despite socioeconomic challenges.
